Put simply, conveyancing is the legal process of transferring the title or ownership of land from one person (or entity) to another. Conveyancing usually takes place between a Vendor (Seller) and the Purchaser (Buyer) who enter into a Contract of Sale for a particular residential/commercial property.
A residential or commercial property transaction can include any of the following; vacant land/ subdivision, a house/ unit or apartment, a house and land package or a factory all of which may be either established or off-the-plan transactions.
Conveyancing is also the transfer of ownership between family members and/or domestic partners.
